Athena Athanasiou is Associate Professor of Social Anthropology and Gender Theory at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens. As a faculty member her contribution to TTC will focus on the biopolitics of crisis in urban space.


Students:

Leandros Kyriakopoulos is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Social Anthropology at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, in Athens, Greece. His main areas of research include trans-nationalism, new mobility, new technologies, politics of place, embodiment, biopolitics, identity and subjectivity.

Theodosia Marinoudi is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, in Athens, Greece. Her research is concerned with the biopolitical regulation of disability and vulnerable subjectivities and bodies, with an emphasis on autism and the construction of autistic subjectivities.

Eri Samikou is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Social Anthropology of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. In her dissertation, she examines the bureaucratisation of pain in the context of the public healthcare system in Greece.
